Research & References
The effectiveness of professional consultation is arguably far greater in schools than in other professional settings (Erchul & Martens, 2012). Sheridan et al., (1996), completed a comprehensive review of 46 school consultation outcomes and noted that nearly 70% of all the outcomes were positive and effective.
Our School Partnership Program embodies the many benefits of professional collaboration through addressing the challenges of traditional school consultation and working with outside professionals.
Our services are deeply rooted in teacher autonomy. We understand the difficulties of working with challenging behavior and value each educator’s professional freedom. By collaborating with teachers, we design strategies and interventions that are feasible to implement in their busy classrooms.
In accordance with consultative research, our School Partnership Program emphasizes attentive listening to increase the mutual benefits and professional rewards of all its members (Erchul & Martens, 2012). Training Wheels invests in the quality of their professional relationships and understands it is critical to be familiar with each teacher’s classroom structure, and to establish a cooperative feedback system (Erchul & Martens, 2012).
